If you're ready to file for divorce -- or the other party has filed -- I'm ready to help you. The first step to hiring me is to book a conference where we'll map out your case strategy.
You can book that conference at the bottom of this page, but before you do that. . .
. . . let me first tell you how I work with clients. . .
. . . and how you will not have to pay a retainer or get billed by the hour.

Instead, I want to tell you about the Pay-As-You-Go Membership.
The Pay-As-You-Go Membership is the very SELECT GROUP of AWESOME clients that I have the privilege of representing in contested divorce and custody cases.
I use the word "SELECT" because I accept a limited number of clients into the Membership. The work we do in the Membership is highly customized, and I make sure to keep space in my calendar to serve each client at the highest level.
And I say "AWESOME" because. . . well. . . I have awesome clients.
When you hire me by joining the Pay-As-You-Go Membership, you're hiring me to provide what we lawyers call "unbundled legal services."
Unbundled legal services is simply a way of hiring a lawyer where the client is not forced to buy "the whole bundle" at once.
Instead, when you hire me using the "unbundled" model, I will tell you step-by-step what needs to be done in your case and you can choose to either pay me to perform that task or handle it on your own with instructions that I provide to you.
Think of it like this -- the traditional model of legal representation involves paying a lawyer a large retainer, getting billed by the hour, and not knowing what you're getting or what it costs until after you've paid. . .
. . . sort of like opening a restaurant menu and seeing that there are no prices listed next to the menu items.
Oh it gets better. Under the traditional model, you're not selecting your own meal. The chef will choose for you. . .

She will then prepare your meal, charge you by the hour, and send you an invoice periodically as you eat what is brought out for you.
Yes, you have to eat all of it. . .
And you must pay the chef a retainer before she starts cooking.
Lawyers have used the "traditional" retainer-and-hourly model for decades.
I mean, like, it's really old.
Many clients want an alternative to large retainers and hourly billing.
I created the Pay-As-You-Go Membership for them.
If retainers and hourly billing is like shoving down the whole menu in one meal. . .
. . . then the "unbundled" method is more like a la carte.

I'll tell you what you should order and when based on your circumstances.
You'll know in advance what you will pay for each item because the price is on the menu.
Hmmm. . . transparent pricing. . . the other chefs lawyers are definitely going to be mad at me.
I know. You want to learn more. So keep scrolling down.
Or maybe you're thinking "Janie, you had me at transparent pricing" and you're ready to talk.
Now I know you're super smart -- just click this button.

So, yeah, I think the Pay-As-You-Go Membership is pretty awesome. But don't take my word for it. Check out what my clients have to say.
Interested? | Here are your next steps.

Step 1
Click the button below to schedule a 30-minute case strategy conference. This will be a private conference with me via Zoom. The cost for the conference is $175.

Step 2
During the conference, I'll assess your situation and we'll map out a plan customized to you. I'll send you the recording of the conference so that you can reference it later.

Step 3
If you decide the Membership is the right fit for you, you join with a few clicks and we get to work.
I only schedule a few of these conferences each week.
Oh, you have questions before we talk? Good.
I'd never make it as a chef, but family court is definitely my jam. And chef-analogies aside, I take this work very seriously.
I know you do, too. After all, this is your family -- there is a lot on the line. So please. . . ask away.
How much does the Membership cost?
If I join the Membership, does that mean I'm representing myself or that you're not my lawyer?
Can I still hire you the traditional way?
Will you still come to court with me?
What if I have a question for you about my case?
What is the pricing for your additional services not included in the monthly fee?
What is your refund and cancellation policy?
What if my spouse (child's other parent) joins the Membership?

Hey there. I'm Janie.
I've had the privilege of representing clients for over twenty years in contested divorce and custody cases.
Inside of the Pay-As-You-Go Membership, I put all of that experience to work for you.
If you're ready to take the next step with me, then click the button below to book your conference.
Please note that -- because I limit enrollment in the Membership -- I only schedule a few of these conferences each week.
